We rely on your consent, our legitimate interest in running a safe service, the need to perform our contract with you, and our legal obligations, as the bases for these uses where such bases apply to you.
Meeting audio and video are transmitted through our media servers so that participants can see and hear each other. Meeting media is encrypted in transit but is not end-to-end encrypted, which means it can be processed by our servers to deliver the meeting. If a host records a meeting, the recording is created at the host's direction; the host controls that recording and is responsible for informing participants and obtaining any consent required by law. Please do not share sensitive information in a meeting unless you are comfortable doing so.
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies, including: a session cookie that keeps you signed in (marked secure and HTTP-only); a first-visit cookie that records how you reached our site so we understand our traffic; and cookies set by our network and security provider to protect the Service (for example, to run bot checks). We do not use them to build advertising profiles of you. You can control cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
Parts of the Service may display advertising served by a third-party ad network. That network may receive limited technical information, such as your IP address and the page where an ad appears, in order to serve and measure ads. We do not share your account details or meeting content with advertisers. Third-party ads are governed by the ad provider's own privacy practices.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
We use trusted third parties to run the Service, which may include:
These providers may process your information only as needed to perform their service for us.
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as long as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. Sign-in security records and meeting logs are kept for a limited period appropriate to those purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data as described below.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption of traffic to our site, secure session cookies, hashed passwords, restricted access to systems, and monitoring for abuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to security issues.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can update your account details in your dashboard, and you can contact us to exercise any of these rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Not for regulated data. Join Orbi is a general-purpose meeting tool and is not intended for protected health information (HIPAA), payment-card data (PCI-DSS), or other specially regulated data. Please do not use the Service to transmit or store such data unless you have a separate written agreement with us.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We operate the Service from the United States, and your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations, which may have different data-protection laws than your own.
